Wasatch Mountain State Park, Heber City/Midway, UT

May 5-18, 1998

Wasatch Mountain State Park in located in the Heber Valley, south of Park City, UT. It is about 50 miles east of Salt Lake City.

We found a home in the Cottonwood Loop, site #5, which had a great view of the mountains.

Everywhere we looked, picturesque mountains surrounded us.

The sites in both the Cottonwood and Mahogany Loops have water and electric hook-ups, and most of them also have sewers. Price per night with sewer is $16. They also have nice bathrooms and showers.

Pine Creek runs through the campground and provides a musical serenade.

This state park even has a beautiful golf course. What a setting for golfing!

Zion National Park, UT

Watchman Campground

April 24-May 2, 1998

Watchman Campground is located just inside the South Entrance to Zion National Park.

Here's the APPLE nestled in site 45B under the protection of The Watchman. The sites were spacious and easy to get in and out of. We really enjoyed our quiet location here.

There are several loops in the Watchman Campground. This is Loop B. Currently, all the camping is dry camping, and there are no shower facilities. The cost per night is only $10. Watchman Loops C&D are being renovated and will have water and electric hookups later this summer.

This is a view of the Towers of the Virgin taken from our campsite.

Here is a view of Bridge Mountain and the Great White Throne from the campground.

Next door to Watchman Campground is the South Campground. This campground is also a very nice dry camping area. However, the sites are smaller, and there are more trees to dodge.

Here is an unusual RV we encountered in the park.
